Tweezing is the process of removing human hair pulling the hair from the body using a tweezer. The following is the procedure we use:

MARK YOUR END POINTS:  Lay the tweezer on an angle against the cheek so that the open end is at the bottom of the nose and the other end reaches the outer corner of your eye. The spot where the tweezer intersects the brow is where the hairs should end. Mark it with the eye pencil, then tweeze the hairs beyond the line.

DETERMINE YOUR BROW THICKNESS: Starting just below the fullest part of the brow, use an eye pencil to draw a line along the bottom edge of the brow; it should be above any stray and it should follow the natural shape of the brow’s top line, which may be angled, slightly curved, or even straight. Tweeze the strays below the line. The brows should be between a quarter inch and a half inch at their thickest.

SHAPE YOUR ARCH: The arch should peak above the outer rim of the iris and lie right on your brow bone.

Threading is a method of hair removal originating in Asia. In more recent times it has gained popularity, especially with a cosmetic application (particularly for removing/shaping eyebrows).

In threading, a thin thread is doubled, then twisted. It is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short rows of hair.

Advantages cited for eyebrow threading, as opposed to eyebrow waxing, are that it provides more precise control in shaping eyebrows and is gentler on the skin.

Threading allows for a more defined and precise shape and can create better definition for eyebrows. It is also used as a method of removing unwanted hair on the entire face and upper lip area. Threading is not a good method for removing hair on arms or legs, as the hair in those regions is typically quite coarse and there is too much to remove.

Laser Hair Removal

If you’re not happy with shaving, tweezing, or waxing to remove unwanted hair, laser hair removal may be an option worth considering.

Laser hair removal is one of the most common cosmetic procedures in the U.S. It beams highly concentrated light into hair follicles. Pigment in the follicles absorb the light. That destroys the hair.

The Benefits of Laser Hair Removal:

  • Treatments are quick.Laser hair removal treatments are quicker than you might expect.
  • You will save money in the long run. With the permanent reduction of hair, you no longer need to purchase endless razors, shaving cream, depilatory creams, and you will no longer need to have monthly waxing appointments. The cost of laser hair removal has decreased as the cost of waxing has increased. The results are far superior to waxing and the cost, over time, is much less.
  • You can eliminate and prevent ingrown hairs. Laser hair removal is simply the best option and the only solution to prevent and eliminate ingrown hairs. It is also a great option for those who have sensitive skin and experience skin irritation from shaving and waxing.
  • You will save time.Laser hair removal eliminates the need to shave daily.
  • No need to grow hair between treatments.Unlike waxing, you can shave between treatments. Say goodbye to the days of having to grow your hair out; with laser hair removal, you can shave as much as you like between sessions.

Waxing makes the hair grow slower and finer. Waxing produces smoother results because hair is pulled from the root.

The benefits of waxing over shaving:

  • It lasts longer than shaving because it pulls the hair from the roots.
  • No cuts or nicks that can leave you with scars.
  • Shaving can cause rashes on sensitive skin.
  • For many, waxing makes the hair grow slower and finer.
  • Waxing produces smoother results because hair is pulled from the root.
  • Shaving can result to stubbles. If you don’t shave often enough, your legs will feel rough and abrasive.
  • Waxing will make your skin feel smoother longer without feeling itchy, because of slower hair regrowth.
  • Waxing is not always painful, if you do it right, it is almost pain-free.
  • Waxing is fast and convenient.
  • Skin is less susceptible to irritations associated with shaving.
